- Are Block Parties kid friendly?
Absolutely! Block Parties are always kid friendly, and we encourage families to come out and dance together on the block. We even have a kids area for the little ones.
- What are the hours of Block Parties?
Block Parties kick off at 6pm, with bands taking the stage at 7pm. We suggest getting here early with your chairs to grab a great spot on Queens Way!
- I'm kind of hungry. What can I eat at Block Party?
Each weekend we'll have food trucks where you can grab a bit. We also have some great restaurants throughout our entire downtown. Japanese? Check. Hot dogs? Check. The best tater tots in Hampton Roads? We've got that too. Check them out here.
- My band wants to perform at Block Party. How can we rock out on Queens Way?
Just give More Music Group a call at 757-463-1940 and they can give you the details.
- How can my group pour beer at the Block Parties?
We are very excited your organization is interested in participating in our annual Block Party series.
Charities must complete an application to be considered. A copy of your non-profit status or the charity you are supporting must be included in your paperwork. We make every attempt to include as many charities as possible each season. We are full for the 2017 season, check back in January 2018.
- Can I just show up and sell my food or merchandise?
That would be great, however, there are many regulations that have to be done in advance of your participation.
If you are interested please give our office a call and we will walk you through the process. We are full for the 2017 season; however we typically have people who have to cancel and we need to make substitutions.
- How much are the beverages?
We sell beer and wine for $5 each
- Do you take credit cards?
We do not take credit cards for any beverage sales but there are a few ATM's downtown within a block, including SunTrust and Old Point National Bank, and TowneBank.
