Faneuil: A Nationwide Provider of Outsourced Business Processing Services

With a location that offers striking, panoramic views of Hampton and the surrounding area from offices on the 10th floor of the multistory Harbour Centre building, Faneuil has grown by leaps and bounds during its almost 15 years of existence. It may be due in part to the inspiring location at the corner of Eaton St. and Settlers Landing Rd., but the nationwide provider of outsourced business processing services has grown to include more than 8,000 professionals who work remotely from locations all across the country.

Faneuil, which rhymes with "Daniel," enjoys a rather low-key existence, preferring to remain in the background to provide exemplary "customer care and fulfillment of back-office workstreams" for its clients, according to Hampton native Anna Van Buren, president and chief executive officer.

The company acts as the "public face and voice" of its clients, she notes. Faneuil represents clients that operate in the health and human services, transportation and tolling, utilities, state and municipal services, and commercial and retail industries. “Our objective is to build the brands and reputations of our client partners and position them at the top of their respective industries and markets,” notes Van Buren.

While the company's employees are trained to represent our clients as professionally and as conscientiously as clients would expect of their own employees, she adds, "Our focus is always on our clients, not on ourselves.”

However, Hampton is especially proud to have Faneuil as a business resident in its downtown area. The company has been recognized in recent years as the Gold Medal Winner and Top-ranking performer for the Americas region by Contact Center World, a global association for contact center and customer engagement best practices.

In addition, it has been recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the Top Job-Creating Companies in the United States. And again, this year, the local company was awarded a contract by the New York City-based Metropolitan Transportation Authority, lauded as one of the nation's largest and most prestigious transportation organizations, to operate a multi-channel contact center that will serve motorists dependent on New York's extensive transportation network.

It is this kind of acclaim that makes us proud to have Faneuil as a resident of our community, and we look forward to their continuing growth, expansion and achievements. They join other corporate residents, large and small, in contributing to the lifeblood of this community and, especially its vibrant downtown environment.

The Business Improvement District of Downton Hampton now encompasses more than 350 businesses and property owners, all of whom are committed to "enhancing the physical beauty, commercial vitality and distinguished character" of the area for residents and visitors alike.
