Unique Products and Lasting Relationships at Sha'mar

From vintage fashions and accessories to the latest vacay styles, Sha'mar is the "go-to" shop for all that's trending for the mature modern woman in today's world. Originally opened by Sharonda Banks in February 2017 as Worn & Homespun, this revitalized fashion-forward shop now combines the first and middle names of its owner and proprietor. Sha'mar has also relocated to 47 E. Queens Way, Suite 103, in Hampton, Virginia's popular historic district, a location that's perfect for the curated collection of distinctive wearables and local handmade self-care products.

The shop itself is aesthetically distinctive, characterized by its warm and welcoming decor as much as by its colorful clothing and accessories, all at reasonable prices. Find date-night apparel, exercise wear, coordinated sets that can transition from a casual brunch with girlfriends to an early dinner or a movie with that "special someone," and much, much more.

The owner's personality shines brightly throughout this boutique. "There are two things that set us apart from other retail businesses," she says. "The first is that we pride ourselves on relationship-building, with not only our customers but with the community." She explains that, although the shop's goal is to sell apparel, they focus on building lasting relationships, and they strive to see each as a unique individual.

The second distinguishing characteristic of Sha'mar is its unique product offerings, complemented by the shop's location in the vibrant neighborhood of "downtown Hampton," with its sidewalk cafes and coffee shops, outdoor music, and a lot of foot traffic. It's a great place to spend an afternoon with friends, and it's equally convenient for those who work nearby and have limited time for shopping.

Sharonda Banks has issued a personal invitation to shoppers to visit her at Sha'mar. Her wish for those who visit for the first time is simply to enjoy the experience. "I want them to remember how they felt while they were in the store," she says, adding that she hopes they will remember it as a great shopping experience. She also has another tip for shoppers -- she recommends Glazed Doughnuts to anyone who shares her "sweet tooth."

Sha'mar is open from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Holiday hours may vary. Contact the shop at (757) 864-0473, or visit https://www.shopshamar.com for more information.
