The Bobby BlackHat Band returns to the Hampton History Museum!

One of the region’s most prolific musicians, Bobby "BlackHat" Walters, recording artist, harmonica player, vocalist, and songwriter has been playing harp for over 40 years.

Bobby BlackHat brings together the finest blues musicians in Hampton Roads to perform classic, modern, as well as original blues tunes that will keep your toes tappin’ and your hips shakin’ all night long. Band members include Tom Euler (guitar), Brian Eubanks (bass), Michael Behlmar (drums), and Lucy Kilpatrick (keyboards).

His sixth album, “Put on Your Red Shoes,” was released late in 2018. He’s built a trademark style that blends the influences of Chicago, Memphis, Piedmont, and Delta style blues along with a little Gospel that he builds into original, often quite timely works such as “BlackHat for President,” “Gubment Shutdown Blues,” Run Baby Run,” and “HRBT Blues” among others. Most recently added to his many awards and accolades, Bobby BlackHat was named the 2019 “Best Blues” recipient by Veer Magazine.

Beer and wine are available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Hampton History Museum.

The event is free for museum members, $5 for non-members. Seating and capacity are limited and first come, first serve. doors open at 5:30 pm.
