Downtown Hampton hosts second New Year's block party
Ryan Murphy Contact Reporter
Who needs Times Square when you can drop a crab pot from the top of Old Point National Bank on New Year’s?
For the second year, Downtown Hampton will play host to a block party starting at 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and running into the wee hours of Jan. 1.
Several restaurants and bars in Downtown will be open throughout the evening with no cover and Downtown Hampton promises live entertainment to keep revelers awake, fire barrels to keep warm, food vendors to keep them fed and plenty of liquid cheer with which to toast.
