Crabtown Shellabration
Serving up Hampton hometown flavors, the Crabtown Seafood Shellabration returns to the downtown waterfront each summer. The festival includes merchandise vendors, exhibitors, games and activities all highlighted by an array of seafood vendors and great live entertainment. The event honors Hampton's history as a town built by seafood and showcases its still thriving community. Come and enjoy great food, great music and great people at scenic Mill Point Park and the Downtown Hampton area.

Clean the Bay Day
Join us for a rewarding morning of community impact on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to noon in Downtown Hampton as we team up for Clean the Bay Day!
Help us restore the beauty of the Hampton River and protect our local waterways. Check-in begins Saturday morning in the courtyard between The Landing Hotel and the Maritime Center.
Free T-shirts will be given to the first 150 participants—arrive early to claim yours and be part of something that truly makes a difference!
Blackbeard Festival
Once a year visitors from all over the country enjoy the sights and sounds of 18th century Hampton overrun by pirates. Hampton’s waterfront comes alive with dozens of pirate re-enactors, costumed in historically accurate garb, who transform today’s Hampton into the busy seaport of yesterday.
Led by Blackbeard the pirate himself, re-enactors help visitors step back in time and re-live the history and legends of 1718 Hampton.
The festival offers a variety of children’s activities, live musical entertainment, fireworks, period vendors, arts and crafts, and much more!
Dockside Seafood Feast
The Hampton History Museum’s popular Dockside Seafood Feast returns to the unique setting of the historic Graham & Rollins working waterfront dock in Downtown Hampton to raise funds for the museum’s educational programming. Friday, May 23rd starting at 6 pm.
The unparalleled menu includes all-you-can-eat seafood entrees including sautéed scallops, fried flounder, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, she crab soup, blue crab claws, fried oysters and oysters on the half shell, along with complimentary beer, wine, and Dockside Lemonade. In addition to the freshest seafood available, the evening includes a silent auction, raffle, and live music.

Lighted Boat Parade
The Hampton River will come to life as a fleet of decorated boats parade past the Downtown Hampton waterfront. Don’t miss the fun! The parade runs from 6:00-7:30 pm and concludes with an awards ceremony at 8:00 pm.
Following the parade, Santa will join the fun dockside from 7:15-8:15 pm to provide one last chance for your family to visit with him!
This event is free and open to the public!
