Blackbeard Pirate Festival
Set sail for one of Hampton’s most anticipated annual traditions—the Blackbeard Pirate Festival!
Once a year, visitors from across the country gather as Downtown Hampton transforms into an 18th-century seaport, overrun by pirates. Kick off the evening dockside in Santa’s Boathouse, where families can snap their own festive photos and enjoy free face painting for kids.

As the parade begins, a live DJ will keep the holiday spirit bright with festive music while the illuminated boats cruise by the waterfront.

Crabtown Shellabration
Serving up Hampton hometown flavors, the Crabtown Seafood Shellabration returns to the downtown waterfront each summer. The festival includes merchandise vendors, exhibitors, games and activities all highlighted by an array of seafood vendors and great live entertainment. The event honors Hampton's history as a town built by seafood and showcases its still thriving community. This vibrant, family-friendly event celebrates local businesses, live music, and community spirit. Featuring Block Party Unplugged where guests can enjoy an acoustic music experience from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Taking place on Saturday August 9 from 5 PM to 10 PM, this open-air night market will transform Downtown Hampton into a lively gathering space featuring vintage finds, artisan goods, handcrafted items, antiques, and oddities & curiosities. Guests can explore a diverse lineup of vendors, local restaurants and retail shops.
